The Skate Park signage has been updated to clarify that bicycles are permitted, while motorized vehicles are prohibited. There is no update at this time regarding the citizen’s inquiry about donating a “box” for grinding at the park.
Eagle Scout Project Update: Eli Moore submitted his Eagle Scout Project, “Lost in the Park,” for review. Eli explained that the first portion of the project reflects his vision, while the second portion will allow for changes or updates by Mayor Schabell, the project beneficiary, as needed. Eli discussed plans to replace trail markers for the Doe and Buck Run trails using hardwood and a CNC router for the signage, as well as clearing and improving the trails. Mayor Schabell approved and signed off on the project.
Park Improvement Projects: Mrs. Wagner reported that Mr. Hoerlein advised that Public Works has purchased a hammerhead piece of equipment to assist with clearing brush throughout the park. Mr. Hoerlein also noted that improvements to the park shelters will likely take place after the City moves into the new city complex, as Public Works will be heavily involved with the move.
