Chairperson Nick Reitman opened the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on the above date, with the Pledge of Allegiance and the following members answering roll call:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES – January 6, 2026

MOTION: Thomas Simpson made a motion to approve the minutes of January 6, 2026, meeting, seconded by Tony Webb.  All in favor, the motion passed 6-0-0. 

VISITORS AND GUESTS – None

NEW BUSINESS

Discussion of KRS 100.348 and Potential Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments (Sections 3.24 and 3.25) Regarding Qualified Manufactured Homes: Mr. Plummer explained that in the 2025 Kentucky Legislative session there was a law passed that would change the requirements regarding Qualified Manufactured Homes. The current zoning regulations are not in compliance with those changes that will take effect July 1, 2026

MOTION: Thomas Simpson made a motion to request staff to open a case to make text amendment suggestions pertaining to Qualified Manufactured Homes, seconded by Rebecca Stadelmann. All in favor, the motion passed 6-0-0.

Development: It was asked what was proposed for the property across from the VFW with all of the land clearing. Nothing has been submitted for that property; the owners are clearing it up to make it more appealing.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None

INTERNAL BUSINESS

Treasures Report: Nick Reitman presented two bills from Verdantas and one from Ziegler & Schneider.

MOTION: Tony Webb made a motion to approve the bills seconded by Thomas Simpson.  All in favor, the motion passed 6-0-0.

P&Z Permit Report: Reports attached.

Other: The city is in budget mode and still working on the city building. Mr. Plummer shared the city is interested in taking members of all board members through the new facility on the 4th Friday of the month.
